Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Sciences (IGIPESS) is one of the leading institutions that also houses the Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences under the Faculty of Inter-Disciplinary and Applied Sciences, University of Delhi. The institute was established on 3rd August 1987 by the Delhi Administration under the auspices of the University of Delhi. The Institute offers varied teacher training courses in physical education i.e. B.Sc (PE, HE & S), B.P.Ed & M.P.Ed. The Institute is 100% funded by Govt. of N.C.T of Delhi.
