Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Kaushal

Prof. Sanjeev Kaushal teaches English. For his Doctoral thesis, he engaged with the work of Adrienne Rich, an evocative poet and radical feminist theorist. He has presented various research papers at national and international conferences. He has conducted several workshops in creative writing and translation. He is a member of various academic and cultural committees.
He writes poetry in Hindi. His writing has been featured in a number of esteemed Hindi magazines. His collection of poems, 'Ungaliyon Mein Parchhaiyan', has been published by Sahitya Academy, New Delhi. It received 'Malkhan Singh Sisodiya Puraskar', a prestigious award in Hindi. His second volume of poetry in Hindi, Ghar Khwabon Se Banta Hai has been published in 2024.
He is also a translator, and has worked with multiple languages. His translations of German poetry titled 'Khwahish Hai Namumkin Kee' and 'November Kee Dhoop' are published. His translation of major twentieth century Polish poets into Hindi is in the process of publication. He has translated poets such as Charles Bukowski, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Shuntaro Tanikawa, W S Merwin, Charles Semic and Sharon Olds.
